For the World Cup broadcasts
New TV colleague for Klopp, Müller and Hummels
April 30, 2026 – 12:20 p.mReading time: 2 minutes

The team of presenters at MagentaTV is growing for the World Cup. The station has hired a well-known television face for a new format.
MagentaTV is positioning itself broadly for the start of the 2026 World Cup – and is also relying on a new face. At the start of the tournament on June 11th, a new format will be broadcast for the first time.
Moderator and podcaster Micky Beisenherz is new to the team. In the first edition, the 48-year-old is in front of the camera together with ex-national player Tabea Kemme, referee Patrick Ittrich and presenter Laura Hofmann. In terms of content, the focus is on the opening game between Mexico and South Africa (kick-off: 9 p.m. German time), the preliminary reports begin at 7 p.m.
Beisenherz says: “It’s always clear to me as a fan: I want to watch football and have fun during the big tournaments.” And further: “So I won’t actually have to work a day during my time at Magenta TV. Or to stay in football language: It’s nice that someone with my modest skills can still move to a really big team.”
MagentaTV boss Arnim Butzen says: “Micky is a real asset for MagentaTV. He will give our World Cup program even more depth and offer viewers a first-class mix of in-depth analysis and excellent entertainment.”
Beisenherz already has experience at major tournaments. At the 2021 European Championships, he hosted the “Sportschau-Club” on ARD together with Esther Sedlaczek. He was also at the 2018 World Cup, back then with the late-night show “Kwartira” together with Jörg Thadeusz. He is also the host of the podcast “Football MML”.
The “Breakfast Club” is scheduled to run daily throughout the tournament. From 7 a.m. onwards, the events of the night are processed there. The format is moderated alternately by Sascha Bandermann and Laura Hofmann. MagentaTV broadcasts all 104 World Cup games, 44 of them exclusively.
