US President Donald Trump has once again gone off the rails. This time during the reception of the astronauts who flew around the moon during the Artemis II mission earlier this month. NASA boss Jared Isaacman was also present in the Oval Office and he received the full brunt.

When a journalist asked a question about the plan to move the headquarters of the American space agency NASA from Washington DC to Texas, Ohio or Florida, Trump turned to Isaacman.

“Well, the best person to tell you that is the man standing right next to me,” Trump replies. “Did you hear that question? With those beautiful ears of yours? He has wonderful hearing. Really excellent. He has super hearing.”

“That’s part of the job,” Isaacman replies, while laughing somewhat awkwardly.

Isaacman was appointed CEO of NASA in December last year. He was nominated by Trump himself, on the recommendation of billionaire Elon Musk.

Isaacman is also a billionaire himself and made his fortune with Shift4 (a payment processor for online stores) and Draken International (which trains fighter pilots and commercial astronauts). He also worked with Musk’s SpaceX through those companies.
