Lauri Marjamäki48, is the new head coach of EV Zug. The club announced the matter on Thursday on their website. The contract runs until spring 2028.
Marjamäki moves to Zug from Kloten, where he coached the previous two seasons. He had a contract with the club for next season as well, but it has been terminated.

Zug finished eighth in the Swiss main league this season. In the playoffs, the club’s road got up right in the first round, when Davos was better with a 4–1 match win.
Now Zug expects that the club will rise to the top of the league with the help of Marjamäki.
– I’m really looking forward to a new challenge at EV Zug! From the beginning of the discussions, I have been convinced of where we want to go as a team and as a club. I see a lot of potential in Zug, Marjamäki says in the club’s press release.
He was the head coach of the Lions in 2016–2018.
