The annual May Day celebrations would traditionally take place on April 30, but… have been canceled this year due to the persistent drought and the increased risk of wildfires.
Woodpiles removed quickly
The municipality started removing the woodpiles last night, in collaboration with local contractors.
“We continued with this this morning and the last May bissen will be removed during the day,” a spokesperson said.
