A cyclist was injured on Wednesday evening in a collision with a car at the intersection of Hoge Ham and Schoolstraat in Dongen. The driver got out and walked towards the victim, but then took off.
The car was coming from Schoolstraat when it went wrong. According to bystanders, the man got out, walked to the victim and went to get his ID. The motorist then left in his car and did not return.
The woman on the bicycle had a nasty fall and was injured. She was rushed to hospital. The road is closed. The police are looking for camera footage of the accident.
