A$AP Rocky surprised Chanel’s cruise show in Biarritz with a pink bag – the ballerina shoe charms on it are a gift for his 8-month-old daughter Rocki Irish.
Biarritz was the hotspot for stars on the last weekend in April: the first cruise show for Chanel took place there. Well-known celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton, Sofia Coppola and A$AP Rocky traveled to the French coastal town to see the new collection by fashion designer Matthieu Blazy. And A$AP Rocky in particular drew attention with a special item.
Cinema instead of cruise ship
Contrary to the name, the fashion show for the Cruise Collection did not take place on board a ship, but in a large cinema on Rue Gaderes. Creative director Matthieu Blazy’s collection is even more reminiscent of a cruise: from two-piece suits that are reminiscent of sailors to elegant bathrobes that serve as jackets. Of course, the stars invited to the cruise show were also dressed in Chanel.
A$AP Rocky breaks gender norms
Rapper A$AP Rocky surprised with a special accessory. He wore a pink Chanel bag with his rather simple brown suit with a red shirt and bomber jacket – a clear statement against gender norms. In a video with “WWD,” the rapper said that he received the bag as a gift from Matthieu Blazy.
Gift for daughter Rocki Irish
There are also two small ballerina shoe charms hanging on the bag – and A$AP Rocky has already revealed what he plans to do with them: He wants to give them to his little daughter Rocki Irish.
The rapper has a daughter with singer Rihanna. Rocki is just 8 months old and was born in autumn 2025. A$AP Rocky also discussed his daughter’s debut alongside Rihanna in W Magazine.
