Part of the wildfire that broke out this afternoon in the Dutch province of Gelderland is under control. This is what a spokeswoman for the safety region said on site. “We expect and hope that it will apply to the entire area in the foreseeable future.” The exceptionally large fire, whose smoke even reached England, broke out on a military training ground. Large equipment, including five helicopters, is being deployed to fight the flames. The extinguishing process may take days, the authorities warn.
