Story boss Guido den Aantrekker finds it striking that no major A-stars were present at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 yesterday. “Always those transvestites!”

Distributors of new cinema films are more than happy to roll out the red carpet to lure celebrities in, because their presence provides free attention: photos, interviews and social posts that put the film even more in the spotlight. The more famous the faces, the greater the publicity, and therefore the better the marketing machine runs.

No A stars

Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks that the Meryl Streep film The Devil Wears Prada 2 is unlucky. Yesterday, figures such as Koen Pieter van Dijk, Anna Nooshin, the child of Daphne Deckers, Jada Borsato and drag artist Envy Peru appeared there.

The magazine maker sneers Show news: “I notice that there are no longer any big stars besides Patty Brard who come to such a premiere, right?”

Disappointing

Show expert Eline de Ruig is in shock. “I also think the outfits were really disappointing, because you had to be fashion runway-ready. Well, ehh… But Patty did her best.”

Guido: “It also fits in with a film like that, but then I see people and I think: yes, guys… I have the feeling that a load of transvestites are being opened up every time. Then I think: gosh, why are the big stars no longer here?”

Lots of money

Eline has an idea. “Because I think it costs a lot of money to look very nice on such a runner, because you want to stand there in a designer outfit.”

Guido: “Yes, that’s a shame.”

Presenter Tooske Ragas: “I don’t have the answer to that either.”
