Today the summer period that has been announced for a few days now really starts. This is what NH weatherman Jan Visser tells us. There will be no clouds in the coming days, and the temperature will continue to rise. The peak is expected on Friday.
The day starts today with clear blue skies over the entire province. The wind comes from the northeast and will continue to bring dry air from a high-pressure area in the coming days. This is already creating summer scenes today, but the expected temperature still needs to grow a bit: around 15 degrees is expected on the coast, and 19 degrees inland.
The wind, which is still moderate to quite strong, will turn to the east during the coming night, which will increase the temperature even more tomorrow. On Texel this means about 19 degrees, but in the south of the province the mercury can rise to 21 degrees.
Summery warm on Friday
That increase will also continue towards Friday. The wind decreases somewhat, and it becomes truly summery warm with temperatures of up to 24 degrees. During the weekend the heat will gradually drop again, and there may also be a splash of rain, but it remains pleasant for this time of year.
