The police arrested a 29-year-old Eindhove resident on Monday evening. He is suspected of involvement in the stabbing at half past ten at Lijmbeekstraat in Eindhoven. One person was injured.
The police received a report around half past ten of a fight, possibly involving stabbing. Officers who arrived on the scene saw a trail of blood, but no victim or suspect.
It soon turned out that the victim, a 35-year-old man from Eindhoven, went to the hospital himself with an acquaintance. The suspect (29) was arrested a little later on Zoutstraat. He was also taken to hospital, but is now in custody and being interrogated.
After the stabbing, the suspect allegedly threw the stabbing weapon over a fence. The police therefore conducted extensive investigations with flashlights.
A day earlier, several stabbings were said to have taken place in the city. For example, an 18-year-old man was found seriously injured on a city bus near the station. Someone was also injured in a stabbing on the Barrierweg during King’s Night, from Sunday to Monday.
