After Erzgebirge Aue was relegated, SC Verl signed Mika Clausen. The 23-year-old will come on a free transfer after his contract ends and is described by the East Westphalians as a “dream player”. Clausen moved from St. Pauli II to Aue in 2024, and since then he has played 67 games (eight goals, eleven assists).
“We had already looked at Mika before he moved to Aue and are therefore even more pleased that he will be wearing the sports club jersey from next season onwards. Mika is versatile in midfield and is a classic box-to-box player. He can give the decisive pass, score goals, but also works intensively against the ball. With his experience at such a young age, he will be a central building block for our game in the coming season,” said sports director Zlatko Janjic about Clausen, who is the second external newcomer for 2026/27.
