After four weeks, the humpback whale, which has been stuck on sandbanks off the German island of Poel since the end of March, appears to be leaving its perilous position today. Rescuers hope to get the 12 meter long and fifteen ton heavy whale into a large push barge today and then take it to the Atlantic Ocean.
