The Nerazzurri management will exercise the clause inserted at the time of the transfer of the son of art to Bruges to bring him back to Milan, but there are many teams that have shown strong interest
Just three days ago, Aleksandar Stankovic found the 9th center of his season, coming close to double figures. Not bad, for a midfielder who theoretically positions himself more in front of the defense than in the midfield area. But the season of the son of art should not be reduced only to the number of goals scored: the period spent in Bruges consecrated Aleks after another great season, the previous one, in which he wore the Lucerne shirt. A confirmation of how the profile is fully in line with everything Inter seeks on the market. Young (2005), ready, strong, futuristic. And in fact there is no doubt about the plans of the Nerazzurri management: for Stankovic the buy-back clause that the club had imposed on Bruges before his transfer to Belgium will be exercised which brought around 10 million in capital gains to Inter’s coffers. There were two options, i.e. counter-buying him in the summer of 2026 for 23 million or in the following summer for 25. Simple verdict to predict: no point in “throwing away” 2 million by waiting an extra year, considering that the young midfielder’s maturation process is already completed. In a few months, therefore, Aleks will return to Milan. But at the same time the great season has attracted the attention of many big European clubs to the Serbian, and it is far from excluded that one of those eye-rolling offers could soon arrive in the area around Viale della Liberazione.

Anything can happen, but one thing is certain: Inter intend to see Stankovic up close, test him, observe him in great depth before making any decisions. Chivu, who Aleks has already coached in the youth team together with Pio Esposito, knows by heart the characteristics and character of his ex-teammate Dejan’s son. And he appreciates them very much. But the market is the market, and Oaktree hardly closes the doors a priori to any type of scenario (whether incoming or outgoing). The teams that have been monitoring Stankovic very closely for some time are Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle, and they could entice the Nerazzurri owners with important proposals. The variable to consider is that, however, we start from that item, -13 million, which Inter will pay to Bruges as a sort of valorization bonus for having consecrated Stankovic on the European stage. So it becomes simple to calculate the possible capital gain if an offer of around 30-35 million arrives, which would thus be around +20 (after the 10 collected by the Belgian club last summer). Not a shock figure thanks to which the budgets are settled or such as to certify a better investment to be sought on the market, also considering how much Aleks is linked to the Nerazzurri environment and still has exponential growth margins. However, if the proposals were to increase, nothing can be ruled out. Meanwhile, the certainty is that Stankovic will return to Inter. And the future does not exclude any possibility.
