Moscow was surprised by a heavy snowstorm on Monday, while spring is normally already in full swing. More than 20 centimeters of snow fell in the Russian capital, good for a daily record that has stood since 1880. The Russian meteorological center has declared code orange, which will remain in force until at least Tuesday morning.
