A fire broke out in the Aldi supermarket on Verdiplein in Tilburg-Noord on Monday morning. A handheld scanner had fallen into a paper press in the warehouse. That press then crushed the handheld scanner.
The fire caused a lot of smoke in the warehouse and the store. The store was then evacuated. A large fan was rushed from Breda to Tilburg to get the smoke out of the store.
According to a 112 correspondent, the question remains whether the store can still open today. The damage must first be examined.
