Remember The Handmaid’s Talethat is to say The Handmaid’s Tale? The series, inspired by Margaret Atwood’s novels, has been one of the most interesting cases of recent years as a dystopian narrative, where a catastrophic and apocalyptic future is imagined, in which the fertility rate has dropped due to pollution and disease and the United States has transformed into the totalitarian republic of Gilead.

Now, that successful narrative universe (six seasons and over sixty episodes) returns in the form of a sequel with The Testamentsavailable on Disney+.
Set fifteen years after the events of the original seriestells the story of two young people, one at the top of Gilead and the other from the outside world, inside the boarding school led by Aunt Lydia.
From the conflict comes a bond marked by the desire for freedom and the attempt to restore humanity in a territory marked by oppression.
For those who love dystopias as lenses for understanding the traumas of the present.
