NEC has convincingly recovered from the blow that AZ dealt in the KNVB cup final, but the team of coach Dick Schreuder failed to take the three points when they visited direct competitor FC Twente. After a rough start, NEC fought back into the match and dominated the entire second half, but failed to put the winning goal into the net (1-1).
