The top game of the 2nd Bundesliga turns into a real spectacle. In the duel between two promotion aspirants, the spectators see not only numerous goals but also a dismissal.

On Saturday evening there was a top game in the 2nd Bundesliga that deserved the name. In the spectacular duel between the two promotion candidates, SV Darmstadt 98 and SV Elversberg separated 3:3 (2:3). After Patric Pfeiffer was sent off (44th minute), the home team played an entire half outnumbered.

Pfeiffer (14th) and Fraser Hornby (15th) had given Darmstadt the lead with a double strike, but the guests turned the game around with goals from Tom Zimmerschied (28th), Maximilian Rohr (34th) and Lukas Petkov (45th + 2) before the break. Hornby got the final score (51st). As a result of the draw, Elversberg slipped to fourth place in the table and is now one point behind the relegation place. Darmstadt is fifth, five points behind the SVE.
