RKAV Volendam had little to offer in the first half and hardly created any chances. In the second half, the team of interim coach Maarten Woudenberg was sharper, but hardly caused the AFC any problems. AFC finally decided the game after more than an hour of play when the ball hit the spot.
No honorary goal
Noach Shenkman was knocked out by Waleed Ait Abdellah and Delano Gouda scored his second of the match from eleven meters. In the last half hour, Volendam tried to score a goal of honor for the crowd present, but the team did not get further than a long shot from Roy Tol and a curled shot from Stef Schokker.
