An important personnel decision has been made at FC Bayern: Alexander Sixt is taking on a central role for the record champions. The club announced this. The 46-year-old was elected as the new chairman of the administrative advisory board and will therefore also move up to the supervisory board in accordance with the statutes. In the future he will be a member of a committee that includes Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneß.
With the election of the Munich entrepreneur, the club is regulating the successor to Dieter Reiter. The former mayor resigned from his office in March. The background was a public debate because he had not had the income from his part-time job approved by the Munich city council.
Bayern President Herbert Hainer said that Sixt “has everything to support FC Bayern in its further development. He has an extensive business background and a large network and will provide fresh impetus.”
Sixt is deputy chairman of the car rental company of the same name and has been a member of the administrative advisory board since this year. Alexandra Schörghuber remains his deputy on the committee.
