A consortium of local investors has taken over the land between Natiënlaan, Kalvekeetdijk and the railway in Knokke-Heist from project developer Ghelamco. This means that the ‘golf dossier’, which has been causing a stir for years, is entering a new phase.
Ghelamco, led by entrepreneur Paul Gheysens, worked for years on the preparation of the project and the purchase of the necessary land. The company also received a permit for a large-scale project including a golf course, hotel and conference center, but ultimately decided not to implement it.
