“We have recently had the opportunity to put the finishing touches on it. We were away with the team for two more days. We went to a hotel in Oostzaan and it was a good time there,” said coach Rick Kruys about the recent period, in which there was no Premier League football due to the cup final won by AZ.
Attention to the details
Kruys and FC Volendam also needed to put their heads together again. Only one point was achieved from the last five matches. “That’s not great, of course. I’m absolutely not satisfied with that,” says Kruys. “We will have to improve and pay attention to the details. All the little details in matches will determine whether we will get many points.”
In addition to the away match against Heracles Almelo, FC Volendam will play at home against SC Heerenveen and Telstar in the remainder of the competition and will visit Excelsior in Rotterdam.
