In Rome, Liam Gallagher made a clear statement – and the Oasis fan base went crazy. Is the big European tour really coming in 2027?
In 2025, Britpop band Oasis made one of the biggest comebacks in music history. In the same year they also played the second most successful tour of the year and thrilled millions of fans worldwide. Things have been going well for the 90s giants ever since: they were recently inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame for the third attempt. Now frontman Liam Gallagher has drawn attention with statements that could mean good news for fans.
Oasis European tour in 2027?
After the group played a total of 41 shows around the globe in 2025, fans of the band have been speculating about further possible shows since the end of the tour. Liam Gallagher has previously revealed that there are no concerts planned in 2026, but at the same time hinted that Oasis could potentially return to the big stage in 2027. The singer also commented on a possible return to Knebworth at the time. When asked in November 2025 if he was “sad that the tour is ending soon,” he replied, “Not really, because I know things you don’t know.”
Now the speculation is picking up speed again. The 53-year-old is currently in the Italian capital Rome. He appeared there on April 23, 2026, and the fan rush for the artist was of course enormous.
One asked him if there was anything planned “next year in Rome.” The frontman responded by saying, “Without a doubt. 100 percent.” Naturally, this statement sent the rumor mill abuzz, with many now asking the question: Was this a reference to an Oasis tour of Europe in 2027?
Previous hints and rumors
Liam Gallagher already caused rumors last year with suspicious statements. After the last show at London’s Wembley Stadium, he addressed the fans with the words “See you soon.”
Oasis guitarist Gem Archer also gave a hint in December 2025. He revealed that Noel Gallagher quipped to him: “No rest for the talented.” So it remains exciting about Oasis – and whether they will soon be playing on the big stages in Europe.
