EXCLUSIVE. The pay differences between CEOs in the Bel20 are that big and this is behind it

Last year, two Bel20 CEOs earned more from bonuses and exceptional premiums alone than the top executives of the other eighteen companies combined. This is evident from HLN’s analysis of all annual reports. Michel Doukeris from beer giant AB InBev earned a total of 90,834,015 euros, while Ilham Kadri earned 40,403,941 euros from chemical player Syensqo. This duo represents 71 percent of the entire wage pool of the twenty largest stock exchange companies in the country – an unprecedented concentration. Why do they earn so much?
