After chase of Rolex thieves that ended in collision: attempted manslaughter not proven, but punishment for continuing to drive after accident

The Amsterdam court on Thursday acquitted 32-year-old Lex van der Z. of attempted manslaughter after an incident in which, after being robbed, he chased suspected Rolex thieves with his car and a collision occurred. According to the court, it cannot be established that he deliberately crashed into the scooter. He was convicted of leaving the scene of the accident. He receives a suspended prison sentence of one month and 40 hours of community service.
