After the Coachella performance and the “Confessions 2” announcement, Guy Oseary clarifies the tour question – and fans should be happy with the answer.
Madonna recently brought good news for her fans. She announced the follow-up to her 2005 hit album “Confessions on a Dancefloor” via Instagram. “Confessions 2” will be released on July 2nd, 2026. Since then, the promotional machine has been in full swing, and fans have questions: What will the style of the new record be – and will there be a tour? There are now updates from the singer’s camp on the latter.
Manager comments on possible tour
Her long-time manager Guy Oseary actually found an answer to the question of whether the Queen of Pop will be on tour again soon. During an appearance on the red carpet, he was interviewed and asked exactly this.
His assessment may initially disappoint some fans. So he said, “I’m not sure yet.” He also added, “I want to see her happy,” Variety reported.
What initially sounded like a rejection, he revised shortly afterwards in an Instagram story. There the manager posted the following words: “Of course she will go on tour again. She wants to share her music with her fans. The exact plans have not been decided yet. Stay tuned.” Madonna followers apparently have to wait for more precise news. But things probably don’t look bad for a possible tour.
Speculation after Coachella performance
On the second weekend of the Coachella music festival, the 67-year-old surprised everyone with an appearance during pop singer Sabrina Carpenter’s set. Nobody expected the performance – and the artist obviously hasn’t lost her desire to perform her music live. As a result, many speculated that the performance could be a reference to an upcoming tour.
