BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – The next day of strike at Lufthansa will also lead to disruptions at the capital’s BER airport today. Around 20 departures and the same number of arrivals were canceled, according to the flight information on the airport’s website. In addition, around half of the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings’ connections are canceled.
At the beginning of the week, the pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) announced further work stoppages at Lufthansa and its subsidiary Cityline for Thursday and Friday. The holiday airline Eurowings is also due to go on strike today. The pilots only went on strike on Monday and Tuesday. In addition, the UFO union has called on around 20,000 flight attendants to strike on Wednesday and today./sak/DP/stk
