BVB fan dies after collapsing in the south stand

A fan collapses during a Borussia Dortmund Bundesliga game and is resuscitated. But ultimately any help comes too late.
On Saturday, a BVB supporter collapsed during Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga home game against Bayer Leverkusen (0-1). It is now known: the fan died on the same day. The Dortmund Clinic confirmed the death to the “Ruhr Nachrichten” on Tuesday.
The fan collapsed in the south stand during the game and was resuscitated there afterwards. The fan camps of both teams then stopped supporting their teams after a few minutes of the second half. At the end they sang “You’ll never walk alone” together.
