After the dismissal of Otto Addo, Ghana has found a new national coach. Experienced coach Carlos Queiroz will look after the “Black Stars” at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
“Queiroz brings extensive World Cup experience,” explains the Ghanaian association in its statement. This is the 73-year-old Portuguese’s fourth appearance in a final tournament. In 2010 he looked after his home country, in 2014 and 2018 he was on the sidelines for Iran. Ghana is the eleventh country that Queiroz has coached as national coach. He was most recently released from Oman in March.
