It was a big scoop for Yvonne Coldeweijer: folk singer Yves Berendse and his girlfriend Sophie are breaking up now that he has become a celebrity. The singer avoids the media, but still performs normally. This was also the case last weekend at some event by rapper Donnie in Paradiso. There he avoided the camera crews present.

Celebrity expert Bart Ettekoven thinks it’s a shame. “Yves performed there and everyone naturally thought: that would be a good time to ask him how he did last week, because it was quite a rollercoaster,” he says at the desk of Show news.
“At the beginning of the week, it was announced through Yvonne Coldeweijer that his relationship with Sophie had come to an end and then everyone started speculating how it happened. Especially if you didn’t say anything yourself. They kept the gates closed and then people started speculating.”

A reporter from Shownieuws wanted to put an end to those speculations, says Bart. “We thought: well, a good time to ask him about it, but his management quickly let us know once we got in: ‘Yves absolutely doesn’t do interviews and he certainly doesn’t want to talk about this.’ Then the question arises: is that smart?”
