The Roads and Traffic Agency started driving in the new bridge sections on the E313 on Saturday evening. That went faster than expected, although there is no hurray mood yet, because the works were unexpectedly delayed by a few hours on Saturday. On Friday evening, the busy highway in both directions between the Antwerp Ring and Wommelgem was completely closed for a spectacular operation, in which the old highway bridges in Deurne make way for new ones. The feared traffic chaos has so far remained limited. The first major traffic test will follow on Monday.
