The singer of the Lambrini Girls band shares the sad news on her Instagram account.

The British group Lambirini Girls has left the Coachella festival in California. Reported about it People.

The band’s singer and guitarist Phoebe Lunny said on Wednesday on the band’s Instagram account that Lambrini Girls will not perform at the festival. The reason for the cancellation of the gigs is Lunny’s neck fracture, which has caused him an acute brain injury.

Lunny says that the accident happened to him during the Australian tour. According to Lunny, he was misdiagnosed and received treatment late.

Lunny says that because of his situation, he is not allowed to fly or perform for six weeks.

One of the biggest music festivals in the world, Coachella takes place in California on two consecutive weekends, from the 10th to the 12th. April and 17-19 April. Lambrini Girls has therefore canceled their performances for both weekends.

Lambrini Girls has postponed some of their US tour dates to a later date. The situation has no effect on the gigs planned for Europe.

The release also has a message for his US fans.

– There are so many good people who build community and lift each other up in defiance of fascism. Creating space for subversiveness and resistance is at the core of this band. Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds gather to mosh, lift each other up, sing, cry, shout both happily and angrily is my greatest joy, Lunny writes.

Lunny says that the band would like to be at Coachella, and the band does not take cancellations lightly. However, Lunny writes that he expects a quick recovery.

Lambrini Girls will also perform in Finland next summer, when the band will be seen at the Flow festival organized in Suvilahti, Helsinki, on Sunday, August 16. The band also performed in Finland last summer at Turku’s Kesärrauha.

The punk band released their debut album Who let the dogs out in 2025. The album received a positive reception from critics.
