Frederika, eighteen year old Swedisharrives in Trieste following his father, a head cutter. He enrolled in a technical institute for his final year of high school. The only girl in the class, she demonstrates that she knows how to defend herself and, “as if she were a boy”, he joins a trio of companions, shattering the fragile provincial balance.
From the novel of the same name by Giani Stuparich, the author of Small body transfers the anxieties of young people at the beginning of the century to 2007giving life to a beautiful female character, a border figure that the city of Svevo welcomes and delivers to its adult destiny.

The four young people speak dialect, but run through the streets of Trieste like heroes of the New Wave. Passed to the Venetian Orizzonti, Giacomo Covi is awarded best actor.
