Gordon and Rick Romijn met each other in the gym a while ago, but now they have really settled their argument. “I have unblocked you on Instagram,” said the Radio 10 DJ.
Rick is one of the sidekicks in the morning show of Radio 538 and was also Edwin Evers’ trusted right-hand man for many years. In that capacity he got into serious trouble with Gordon. The radio maker suggested in Evers Staat Op in 2009 that Gordon was not overcome by the heat during Gay Pride, but by drink and drugs.
Not amused
Although Goor no longer makes a secret of his recreational needs these days, he was really in a state of excitement at the time. “I’m going to call him first. If I don’t like what he says to me, I’m going to take further steps, because I won’t let my name be dragged through the mud like that,” Goor fumed.
He was real not amused. “Rick Romijn is of course a very nasty and negative person. His person and my person are not at all compatible. I am completely done with it. I don’t need those people. They must treat me with respect, just like I did.”
Reprimand
Ultimately, Gordon took no action. “He has received his reprimand from the management and with that I have my peace. It is good. Of course that was disappointing to me. We have worked together for a long time and moreover: there is no truth in it,” he responded.
Years later, last January, Rick and Goor met again in real life. “Which celebrity did I suddenly find myself face to face in the gym?”, the radio maker wrote in his Instagram stories with a joint photo with Gordon: “Yes.”
No excuses
This time Gordon is discussed in the 538 show from Rick, because he apologized for his earlier performance in K2zoekt K3. “Is he now in that phase where he is going to apologize for everything he has done?” asks presenter Tim Klijn.
Rick: “I trained with him last week and he has really changed.”
Tim: “Has he apologized to you yet?”
Rick: “He hasn’t apologized to me yet.”
Visit from Goor
Fellow sidekick Niels van Baarlen remains hopeful. “Oh, but he hasn’t reached the R for Rick yet, has he? He’s only reached the K for that’s coming!”
A little later Goor enters the studio. He shouts: “You’re complaining about me again! I heard that I was the topic of conversation for quite a long time and that you were offended that I blocked you on Instagram. That’s right!”
Rick: “We exercise very often. You can see it with Gordon, but not with me. You look good, man!”
Unblock
Peace is soon officially signed. “Yes, thank you, I’m doing well guys. I’m going to unblock you. I’m in a new phase of my life and I also apologize to everyone,” said Goor.
Tim: “Where does that new phase come from?”
Goor: “From a small envelope (this is a cocaine joke, ed.)! No, I will absolutely unblock you. I promise.”
Rick: “I like that.”
Goor concludes: “On January 1, 2027! Hahahaha. No, so here it is, guys!”
