André Hazes Jr. pretended for years that he was burdened by Yvonne Coldeweijer’s juice, but guess what? The singer now admits that he liked that attention. “I want to thank her.”
In her heyday, Yvonne Coldeweijer made André Hazes Jr. the most talked about artist in our country. She was almost always spot on with her juice about the folk singer and at one point she was such an authority as a hazologist that she managed to direct the entire Dutch press to Schiphol at the right time to film André.

According to André, Yvonne was sometimes wrong. “Well, there was a time when Yvonne was very wrong. She was so crazy at the time…,” he says. in his podcast.
Sister Roxeanne “Yes, you were of course really a target for a while, weren’t you? But can I say one thing about why I think that is the case? In the beginning you deny things that may turn out to be somewhat true and then I have the feeling that people think: that is just my target, and then you also start saying shit that is just not right.”
Strangely powerful
André still remembers that time well. “And of course she was bizarrely powerful, because everything she said, you thought it was true and she only had to be right twice and then she could make five fuck-ups of course.”
“But I have to be honest… I don’t have a good relationship with her at all and she put me through the wringer completely, but she made sure of it: I was away for two years and I remained a topic for two years. I didn’t have to do anything for that myself, did I?”
