Once again, a protest at the Rheinmetall arms company’s factory premises in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen led to a police operation.

Seven activists stuck themselves in front of the company’s entrance this morning, blocking the way.

According to the “Berliner Morgenpost” they chanted “German weapons, German money are murdering all over the world” and “Rheinmetall out of Berlin”. Emergency services removed all seven activists from the road, as a police spokeswoman announced on the online platform X.

Some of them sustained minor injuries to their hands and were treated on site by rescue workers, the police said. Among other things, investigations are underway for trespassing, coercion and resistance to law enforcement officers.

Protest action just a few days ago

There was already a protest on the Rheinmetall factory site a good two weeks ago: On March 25, demonstrators climbed to the roof of the building in the early hours of the morning and carried banners related to the Middle East conflict. They also poured paint on the house facade. The police took the activists from the roof. Special forces were deployed for height rescue. On XETRA, Rheinmetall shares temporarily fell 1.26 percent to 1,530.60 euros on Friday.
