When Taylor Momsen goes on tour with AC/DC, strange things happen. Two years after she was bitten by a bat on stage, The Pretty Reckless singer had an encounter with a poisonous spider.

The incident occurred while on tour in Mexico City, where The Pretty Reckless is supporting AC/DC on their extended “Power Up” tour run. “So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bitten,” Momsen wrote on Instagram. “This time a giant spider decided to take a piece of me, and its venom messed up my body pretty badly – so the wonderful doctors in Mexico had to come in and give me a pretty heavy shot right before the show last night… that’s on the list! Spider Woman? Batgirl?”

Heart’s Nancy Wilson commented on Momsen’s post with the advice: “Flush your body with plenty of water and follow the doctors’ protocol carefully.”

Momsen experienced the bat attack in May 2024 – on stage in Seville, Spain, and appropriately during a performance of “Witches Burn” by The Pretty Reckless. She didn’t even notice the bite at first; It was only the audience who made her aware of it. “I really must be a witch,” she told the audience. “It doesn’t matter, and the bat is okay – it will be my new friend.”

Tour to Philadelphia and Glasgow

The Pretty Reckless will accompany AC/DC for the remainder of their tour, which ends September 29th in Philadelphia. The band will then go on their own tour in autumn and winter, with the last gig on December 3rd in Glasgow.

Last fall, Momsen appeared at Soundgarden’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and met her film colleague Jim Carrey, with whom she once appeared in front of the camera in “The Grinch” and who gave the eulogy.
