Madonna and Britney Spears are two big names in pop music. They worked together on the hit “Me Against the Music” back in 2003. Now rumors are doing the rounds that the two singers could find each other again, similar to back in 2003.
Does Madonna want Britney Spears on new album?
The Queen of Pop is currently working on a follow-up to her 2019 album “Madame X.” Rumor has it that she is trying to get Britney Spears to play a part in her new work. A source told Bizarre Column magazine: “Madonna thinks Britney is not only a brilliant artist, but also a lovely person.”
The statement continued: “They have had a lot of fun working together in the past and have talked about working together again. Madonna felt that Britney could contribute to her new album or perhaps collaborate on a song idea. She feels a connection to Britney and has been a vocal advocate for her over the last few years, despite concerns for her well-being. Madonna is one of the few people in the world who understands the stress and struggles that come with being one of the most famous people in the world.”
Madonna as a mentor
The two musicians are undoubtedly friends. The “Hit Me Baby One More Time” interpreter said of Madonna that she sees her as a mentor and is particularly grateful for her support after her separation from pop singer Justin Timberlake.
In her biography “The Woman in Me,” Britney Spears wrote about meeting the then 62-year-old: “She was breathtakingly beautiful and radiated strength and self-confidence. She went straight to the window, looked out and said, ‘Nice view.’ Madonna’s supreme confidence helped me look at my situation with fresh eyes. I think she probably had an intuitive sense of what I was going through. I needed a little guidance back then. I was confused about my life. She tried to be a mentor to me.”
Another collaboration between the two women would be a dream come true, especially for pop fans of the early 2000s. It remains to be seen whether the rumors will ultimately come true.
