Kauko Röyhkä feels that she fell into traps in her TV interviews.

Writer-musician Kauko Röyhkä, 67, opens up on Facebook about his TV interview experiences of the past years. Röykä feels that he has “stepped into the trap set for him” a couple of times over the years.

– This was the first time The Good, the Bad and the Ugly TV Show, where I was made a Satanist. Of course, I knew that it was quite rough entertainment, where the interviewees were tested in some way, Röyhkä writes in his publication.

Röyhkä says that he went to the program to promote what appeared in 1993 Blessing – disc.

– Jari Sarasvuo came to tell the baker that my part deals with Satanism and I should appear as a Satanist in it, because it is clearer. I thought that I never said I was a Satanist, I was just interested in the occult, but whatever. It can really be a bad thing if I start stuttering and explaining what the difference between an occultist and a Satanist is.

Röykä writes that he did not belong to any cult. He had only read a few books. However, he was aware that television should be clear.

– A stupid explainer is ridiculous, especially in such a blatant show with a million viewers.

Röyhkä writes that he played his role as agreed.

– After the program, I went to Sarasvuo and [Simo] With Rantalainen to Urho’s pub. Sarasvuo continued his rant and said that the toughest business leaders in America are Satanists. That was it, I thought.

– Apparently he tried to appease me, I had now become a lost soul in the eyes of the Finnish people, who is on his way to hell. Which one of us is a Satanist? You make a fake TV show, where you aim for large viewer numbers, while I make honest rock music.

For the second time, Röyhkä says that he experienced the “trap” Maria Veitola Maria, Maria in the program. Röyhkä writes that he has been a guest of Veitola before and everything went well then.

This time he was invited to speak about the state of domestic literature. According to Röyhkä, before the interview, we agreed on what to talk about on TV over the phone, and according to Röyhkä, Veitola seemed matter-of-fact.

– Then I was on a live broadcast. Suddenly, Veitola started talking like a small child, cooing and moaning. I realized I had fallen into a trap. Everything I said sounded ridiculous. I should have gotten up and gotten the hell out of there, ripped the mic cords off and just walked out of the whole house. But I froze.

– I tried to blurt out something, and Veitola said oh oh, It’s true. It felt worse than The good, the bad and the uglybecause Sarasvuo went before the show to announce what was coming.

Röyhkä writes that he was angry with Veitola for a while, but after that he thought that it was the same. He says that no one came to tell him about the program in question, so maybe people missed the interview. Röyhkä considers this scenario a good thing.

– TV is a bad medium. You can easily go wrong there. The creators of the shows are hysterical with their viewership numbers and sometimes they use dirty means. That’s why I haven’t gone to vague reality TV shows for years, Röyhkä says.
