The US technology company Apple brings new iPhone models onto the market every year – sometimes with minor improvements, sometimes with a new design. According to an expert, the new iPhone will bring big changes.
Bloomberg expert: The most significant iPhone revision is imminent
As Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, senior editor of the consumer technology team and Apple chief correspondent, reported in his late March newsletter “Power On,” the planned foldable iPhone will represent “the most significant overhaul in iPhone history.” Gurman emphasizes: “iPhone 4, iPhone 6 and iPhone X were undoubtedly a big event, but this is a completely new design”.
Foldable display for more space and multitasking
As with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, the foldable iPhone will reportedly open like a book and, when unfolded, offer a spacious interior screen that is ideal for videos, games or multitasking, Gurman said. In keeping with this, iOS 27 will be optimized specifically for the device: Apps should be able to be opened side by side, and other iPad-like multitasking functions should make use even more comfortable, it goes on to say.

In a previous X post at the end of March, Gurman explained that Apple plans to significantly expand Siri with iOS 27. In the future, the voice assistant should be able to use any AI services via apps from the App Store. At the same time, according to Gurman, the previous exclusive partnership with OpenAI’s ChatGPT in Apple Intelligence and Siri will be ended.
iPhone presentation expected in September
Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the new iPhone design will include a total of three cameras – two on the back and one on the front. He also expects a Touch ID power button instead of Face ID. The launch date is expected to be in September this year and the price of the new smartphone is expected to be $1,999 or more in the US.
