VfL Wolfsburg has already presented in the women’s DFB Cup and secured a ticket to the final. Can FC Bayern follow suit? The live ticker.

FC Bayern Munich will host SGS Essen in the semi-finals of the women’s DFB Cup. The Munich team goes into the game as heavy favorites, but Essen has already surprised several times in the competition and wants to set an exclamation mark again.

28th minute: Bayern demand a penalty. But Michel decides against blowing the whistle. Stanway finds the incoming Kett, who falls to the ground shortly afterwards after a duel with her opponent. But that wasn’t enough for a penalty.

27th minute: Bayern’s next attempt. Tanikawa tries from the edge of the penalty area. Platner throws himself in and clears the ball for a corner. This fizzles out.

25th minute: Bayern are now putting more and more pressure on. Harder plays Kett free on the left in the penalty area. But the national player’s following cross is blocked.

22nd minute: Now the ball is in the net. But the goal doesn’t count. Gwinn chips the ball from the half space into the box. Caruso is lurking there and volleys the ball beautifully into the corner. But: Michel immediately whistles back the hit. Caruso started too early. The Italian was clearly offside.

17th minute: First reasonably good chance for Bayern. A long ball lands at the starting Imade, who finishes half-right in the penalty area. However, the shot is still blocked. There is a corner for the hosts. But it doesn’t bring in anything.

14th minute: Bayern have of course completely taken control of the game. Essen concentrates primarily on defending – and apparently hopes for one or two counterattacks.

11th minute: Dallmann with a fine individual action. The national player wins the ball and then takes on several opponents. She passes three opponents with a fine dribble. But she is then stopped in the penalty area.

10th minute: The first ten minutes in Munich have been completed and the guests are keeping up well so far. FC Bayern have not yet found any gaps in the Essen defense bulwark.

5th minute: There it was, the first good opportunity for food. Platner tries to reach Maier with a pass. In the end, however, she rather puts Touon in the limelight. However, Mahmutovic sprints out of her goal and knocks the ball away from the onrushing Essen woman.

2nd minute: A first free kick from Gwinn from the half area sails into the Essen penalty area. Palmen catches the ball safely.

1st minute: Kick-off in Munich. Fabienne Michel releases the ball.

3:29 p.m.: Dinner will toast.

3:26 p.m.: The teams arrive in bright sunshine. The atmosphere in the sold-out stadium is great. Everything is set for a fantastic afternoon of football.
