Ellen ten Damme is very disappointed that she receives questions about Ali B at every media appearance, but according to Evert Santegoeds she should not complain so much. “Then you should go abroad!”

The appeal in the abuse case against Ali B is in full swing. The rapper was convicted in the first instance for, among other things, the attempted rape of Ellen ten Damme. The singer will of course hope that that conviction will at least stand, but she doesn’t really want to say anything else about it. She is disappointed that she is constantly confronted with it.

Strange

Ellen says in Frank van der Lende’s radio show that she feels limited in terms of media. The media attention for the case surprises her. “I find it very strange. I was the only one there, but I didn’t get involved,” she says in front of the camera. Show news.

She continues: “In that sense it’s not too bad, but as an artist I of course only want to be busy with music, promote my record and my tour, but I can’t go anywhere at all, because everyone only wants to talk about that and I don’t. A bit strange.”

Unfortunate timing

Private boss Evert Santegoeds believes that Ellen is bringing this on herself. “The timing is a bit unfortunate. I would say: if you don’t feel like talking about it, make sure you’re not in the country or something, but don’t just announce your tour and your new music that week. Then you know you’ll be asked about it.”

He concludes: “You could have announced it last month and then you could have kept a low profile this week. It is her right to determine her own moment, but fortunately not. It is logical that it is brought up and she should have known that. She could have influenced the timing.”
