Cupra Tavascan 58 kWh: technical specifications and interiors

Cupra Tavascan can now count on three steps of power: to the variants Endurance And VZwith 286 HP rear-wheel drive and 340 HP 4×4 respectively and both with 77 kWh battery, is now joined by a version with 58 kWh battery and 190 HP rear-wheel drive. Thus, almost two years after its launch, a new access point to the 100% electric SUV Coupé has been proposed, up to now, with a price starting from 52,800 euros. While awaiting developments on the issue relating to duties (in February 2026 the EU Commission announced that this Sport Utility Vehicle produced within a Volkswagen Anhui plant in Hefei, China, will no longer be subject to this measure), the Spanish company has not yet revealed the exact price list of the new entryalthough it is reasonable to expect an initial cost of less than 50,000 euros. Production is expected to start shortly after Easter, while the first deliveries will take place after the summer break.

If outside it is possible to admire the new color Dark Voidinside the passenger compartment we find some of the main innovations of the 2026 Cupra Tavascan, such as the new 10.25″ digital dashboard and an infotainment system now based on Android. This allows the user experience to evolve by offering fluid access and a wide range of applications via the integrated app store, bringing familiar features typical of smartphones into the world of driving. Not only that: control and driving functions are improved thanks to the redesigned steering wheel with physical buttons and a technique which includes Launch Control (the latter only for variants with a 77 kWh battery). To top it all off, there is a new climate control system with new electrified air vents, active even before the driver enters the passenger compartment. When the key is near the car, the system starts a pre-circulation of the air and adjusts its orientation based on the occupants and the position of the sun. It can also be controlled via voice commands.

With the introduction of Mobile Device Keydrivers can unlock, start and share vehicle access using their smartphone. You can share up to four digital keyswith a fifth reserved for the main user. A Smart Cards offers temporary access when needed. The Vehicle to Load (V2L) function allows the car battery to power external devices such as laptops, e-bikes or high-power audio systems, while the already present premium audio system, equipped with 12 speakers and signature immersive sound Sennheiseris further refined in this new version.

As anticipated, the entry level version will therefore have a smaller battery, 58 kWh instead of 77 like the rest of the range. With 190 HP of maximum power available, this configuration promises 435 km of autonomy in the WLTP cycle, with a charge from 10 to 80% in 26 minutes. In short, with this option the brand aims to bring the Cupra experience to an even wider segment of the public, without giving up that emotional, performance and character philosophy that the brand’s cars can offer.
