Artturi Lehkonen was the architect of the winning goal.

The Dallas Stars and the Colorado Avalanche faced Finland on Saturday night in the top battle of the Western Conference, which was won by the Colorado Avalanche with a score of 2–0.

The winning goal of the match, which was at the same time the first hit of the whole game, was seen in the ten players, i.e. in the last 10 minutes of the actual game time.

Artturi Lehkonen gave a great pass to Martin Nečaswho put the puck into the empty goal from the back post. The goal was the winning goal of the match.

At the end of the final set, Dallas’ offense was dull and there was little attacking play. Colorado defended really strongly in the last few minutes.

Nathan MacKinnon scored a 2–0 goal in an empty Dallas net in 59:04.

In the match, settings were also sought for playoffs. In the latter half of the second period, we saw a situation where the captain of Dallas Jamie Benn tried to sway the Colorado superstar Nathan MacKinnon.

The two nudged each other on the way to the changing paddock, and Benn grinned widely at MacKinnon.

MacKinnon’s Finnish teammate Joel Kiviranta came to rush Benn in front of the changing sheds.

In the final Brock Nelson got iced for hooking when he broke Jason Robertson.

The Avalanche players unanimously indicated that the American forward highlighted the foul. Robertson was then besieged by the Coloradoans, and especially by the Swedish captain Gabriel Landeskog ripped this.

Stars started the match strongly and created a good chance to score right in the opening moments of the opening set. However, no hits were seen.

The first 20 minutes was very even, but the Stars were slightly more advanced.

In the second set, Colorado took over and controlled the flow of the game. The Stars had problems at times with offensive starts and with Colorado’s hard hitting. However, neither team celebrated at the goal posts.

Colorado’s strong defensive performance did not leave Dallas speechless.

Mikko Rantanen’s Dallas bowed to Colorado. PDO
