HPK’s coffers are ringing on Saturday matches.
The Hämeenlinna hockey crowd woke up to the playoff spring in an exceptional way.
HPK’s Saturday home match against Tappara is at least close to being sold out. The club announced before the match that the stands are sold out and the seats are fully reserved.
The final audience number is also influenced by, among other things, the filling rates of the boxes and other more “special” quotas.
The atmosphere was really high in the opening set of the match, when the home team tried to shake Tapparaa with physicality.

The capacity of the Rinkelinmäki ice rink is 5,360. Matches with more than 5,000 spectators have been rare in Hämeenlinna in recent years.
The last time the limit was exceeded was on January 4, 2020, when the HIFK match attracted 5,051 spectators.
The last packed match in Hämeenlinna was seen in the final spring of 2019.
Advancing to the semifinals was a significant achievement for HPK, as the club has made heavy financial losses in previous seasons.
