Evert Santegoeds would find it very sad if Henny Huisman actually makes his TV comeback in a talent show around his cousins from Kriss Kross Amsterdam. “Seems unwise to me.”
Henny Huisman has been begging for a TV comeback for longer than he was even seen on television. Now the 74-year-old former presenter says that he will finally succeed, through his cousins from Kriss Kross Amsterdam. After the departure of Yuki Kempees, they want to look for a new ‘MC’ via television and Henny plans to sit on the jury.
A bit sad
Will we still experience Henny’s TV comeback? “Well, could it? Still?!” says Privé editor-in-chief Evert Santegoeds in the podcast Strictly Private. “I do believe that Henny wants to return to TV, but I also believe that he should gradually put it out of his mind.”
Henny shouldn’t use his nephews for this at all, he thinks. “To suddenly make a comeback with his nephews, that would be a bit sad.”
Don’t let go
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden understands what Evert means. “He can’t let it go.”
Evert: “No, that’s a shame. I think Henny disappeared from TV far too quickly at the time, but picking it up again after all these years doesn’t seem very wise to me. You saw it when he went to do Glamourland again, that wasn’t very successful either.”
Pension
What should Henny do then? “I think Henny should just enjoy his retirement and all the time he has with his Lia,” says Evert.
The critical magazine maker concludes: “He is here, he is on Bonaire and he is having a great time, but he has to leave it at that.”
