“Of course you want to play good football and take something with you to the KNVB Cup final,” says HV Hoorn coach Khalid Elbaz after the lost match. “But the result is also important for a place in the play-offs.”
HV Hoorn is still active on two fronts. Next Easter Monday, Elbaz’s formation will play in the cup final against Tigers Roermond, but it is also far from certain that they will participate in the play-offs for the national title. “I don’t think my players were concerned with Monday. We were mainly concerned with winning,” Elbaz said.
