Bayer Leverkusen has to do without one of its key players in the final spurt of the season. Coach Hjulmand confirmed this on Friday. With other personal details, however, things look better.

For offensive player Martin Terrier, the season at Bayer Leverkusen ended abruptly. The Frenchman suffered a muscle injury in his right back thigh in the 3-3 draw at 1. FC Heidenheim before the international break – coach Kasper Hjulmand confirmed this on Friday before the game against VfL Wolfsburg. This is so serious that Terrier is no longer available for the remaining seven league games. “The season is over for him,” said Hjulmand.

Terrier, who joined the Werkself from Stade Rennes for 20 million euros in the summer of 2024, appeared in 24 competitive games this season. The 29-year-old scored five goals and one assist. His contract runs until 2029.

In addition to Terrier, Jarell Quansah is also unavailable for the game in Wolfsburg. However, there is hope for the new signing from Liverpool that he will be fit to play again for the game against Borussia Dortmund next week. Things look better for Loïc Badé. After his muscle injury, the defender is again an option for the squad and starting eleven. Eliesse Ben Seghir is also available again after an ankle injury.
