The police found homemade explosives in a house on Snelliusstraat in Tilburg on Thursday evening. The adult son of the family living in the house was arrested. He was arrested elsewhere in Tilburg.
The police searched the entire house. A box containing illegal fireworks was soon found. During further searches of the home, three homemade explosives were found.
The area was closed off. The explosives were taken by the EOD. The remaining fireworks were removed by a special company.
The police are investigating and will provide more information on Thursday.
