Game scene Straubing Tigers - Eisbären Berlin

As of: April 2, 2026 • 10:46 p.m

Overtime drama in the ice stadium at the Pulverturm in Straubing: The Tigers shorten the series to 2:3 against defending champions Eisbären Berlin and fight for a sixth game. The goalscorer in stoppage time is Elis Hede.

The season is not over for the Straubing Tigers: After falling behind, Lower Bavaria forced a sixth game in Berlin in the cauldron at the Pulverturm. Due to the 2:1 (0:1, 1:0, 0:0, 1:0) after extra time, the series is now only 3:2 for the Berliners, but they can make it into the semi-finals on Saturday in their own hall.

First falling behind, then catching up

At first things didn’t go as planned for the Tigers. In the first third, Eric Mik gave the capital team the lead. The Tigers then began an assault, struggling with a few missed chances in the first third. In the second period it was Wade Allison who scored the much celebrated equalizer.

After that: Lots of chances, lots of saves, but no more goals in regular time. It wasn’t until 7:24 minutes into overtime that Hede scored the winning goal, which kept the Tigers further in the series.
